3 ACEO's - Autumn Leaf Portraits

This cute little leaf fell on my deck the other day... It's Autumn!! I couldn't resist painting it's portrait... three times. Click on each one to see it in my Etsy shop, or visit my shop TheCreatorsPalette to see all of my ACEO's.

Adventure's Ahead is an original ACEO.  It began as a digitally created collage and then was hand embellished by a variety of fine art colored pencils and pens.  It can be found in the WindandHoney Etsy shop.

Newest Gourd

Here is my newest gourd painting, part of my Autumn Color Study Series, "Orange and White Gourd in Blue Bowl". (Creative title, I know!)

Autumn Color Studies

I've decided to do a series of color studies playing with the colors of and subjects related to Fall. I got some mini gourds and pumpkins this last week to get me started.

Here is the first one:

I am having fun seeing how the different colors play off each other. More to come....

Approaching Autumn

I keep seeing fallen leaves on my front walk, reminding me that Autumn is on its way! Fall is my favorite time of year - I can't wait for the golden light and the cooler nights, crisp air, smell of leaves and beautiful foliage. Here is my third ACEO with a fall theme, inspired by the leaves on my walk:

Thinking Fall

The coolness of the last few days have me thinking about fall! Autumn in New England is my favorite time of year. I couldn't resist painting an ACEO with an autumn theme:

Sweet September Saturdays by Artist/Designer/Photographer Glenna Normyle

Thank you very much for inviting me to write about ACEO's and ETSY. As we pass from one season to another you can really feel it and certainly see it. This new season Fall 2009 is just starting for us here in New England. Cooler nights herald the beginning of the Fall season for us. I am also very much swayed in my creativity at this point. I have been creating ACEO's with Fall, back to school, owl, bird and Christmas themes. Some ideas for ACEO's come to me and they are so simple in design. This Hoot Owl Aceo I made was simple to make and fun. A few months ago I had ordered a package of various iron on items, beautful embellishments etc...from a fellow Etsian. When I received my order I took one look at this owl and I said to myself, very cute, unique I really would like to preserve it on aceo cardstock to share with someone else. Enjoy! It is available for sale at my shop Glenna's Garden. By visiting www.gnormyle.etsy.com you can see this aceo and others I have created.
