I can’t help it… the island got into my blood. I want to move there and just keep soaking in that healthful island living!
Well, still being there in heart has drawn out a of me, paintings, inspired by the beauty there. I completed these ACEO’s recently – all of which are for sale in my Etsy shops (or click the picture)
I totally and completely fell in love with Plumeria's! They were blooming everywhere. The variety of colors intrigued me and the smell is intoxicating! One of these Plumeria paintings includes native symbols and pen work in the background. The other is a bud just opening in the early morning!

Yes, I can see why you're still influenced... beautiful work!
That first flower just took my breath away. :)
Thank you to both of you!
I sketched that Hibiscus... and it took me quite a while to get up the courage to paint it readingsully2! Most of the Hibiscus are so bright and bold... but this one we came across was like silk... and the softest peach - yet with a bright coral center! Thank you so much for your compliment!!
I love your flowers from Hawaii, especially the first one. One of the things I really want to do is have a trip to Hawaii for inspiration. This blog entry reinforced it!
My nephew calls squirrels 'rats with fuzzy tails'. We all thought it was quite funny!
