Nanowrimo or bust!
Ink leaves on watercolor IThis piece is India Ink on a watercolor background.
So, about Nanowrimo: I'm writing a novel this month..or trying anyway. Tomorrow is the half way point of trying to write 50,000 words. I'm at 20,000 and I am really excited that I have challenged myself to go this far, and can't wait to keep on pushing through to the end.
If anyone else is involved in this, I would love to hear how your month is going!
Cheers,
Rebecca

Weary Transportation
Inspired by Illustration Friday's theme 2 weeks ago, "Transportation". This one kinda reminds me of Huck Finn; feet dangling from the dock, with a fishin' pole in hand.
Enjoy,

#1 Impressionism; 31 days of Rhinos

March is going to be fun! Today, I invite you begin a journey with me into the history of art, as seen through the eyes of Smelly Rhino Studio.
Each day in March on my blog, I will post a new painting using a specific technique or style and giving a brief history of that style.
Not all the paintings will be ACEOs, so I will only post here the ones which are!
If you want to have some fun seeing Rhinos represent art in history, visit 31 days of Rhinos on my blog today!
Fondly,
Rebecca

Mixed Media Madness

Here is a fun piece I did as a precursor to a large commission I've been wracking my brain over for 6 months. I finally got the "recipe" the way I want it. I was really going for the ancient Raku Chinese theme....
This ATC was given in a monthly swap for the eBay Aceo group for December 09.
I will be posting all of them shortly in my Etsy shop!
Enjoy and Have a wonderful weekend.
We are without water for the 7th straight day in our home in Atlanta. I never would have imagined a problem with frozen pipes in the south!

Rebecca
