"A New ACEO for The ACEO Challenge"

Hi all!  It's been a bit since I have made an original ACEO so I decided to take on this month's ACEO Challenge with its theme of "April Showers".  I have additionally taken on a challenge from my hubby to draw a picture of our little miniature pinscher, "Danny Boy".  Drawing animals is, in itself, a very big challenge to me so I have really made a concerted effort to study Danny Boy and finally came up a small illustration that I will actually share.  Bear in mind that Danny Boy loves flowers (he is always burying his little nose into any flowers he finds on his travels) but its "I'm out of here" when it comes to showers!  That said, it took a real act of courage by him to pose for this illustration, he hopes you appreciate his efforts.

This little ACEO is titled "April Showers Bring Sweet Flowers"

"The Letter H"

Happy Day!  Make way for "The Letter H"!  Hoo-Ray!  I have listed "The Letter H" in My Etsy Shop today.  I have it available as an Authorized Art Print, size 8"x10"; and as an Open Edition ACEO, size 2.5"x3.5".

CraftyMoose correctly guessed that I was working on "H", good going CraftyMoose!  The letter I will be illustrating next begins the word of something her husband loves, you can check out CraftyMoose's Etsy Shop or CraftyMoose's Blog for the clue.  It is in one of those sites!

Spring is in the air!

Since many of us a relishing the slightly (I did say, slightly!) warmer weather I wanted to share an ACEO with you! I belong to another Etsy group (Boomers and Beyond or BBEST for short) and they are having a swap for the month of March with the theme set as Spring!

So many images come to the fore don’t they? Finally, I decided on this ACEO as my entry. It is entitled ‘A Spring running down the Valley’.

Created using my favourite art medium of encaustic paint or painting with wax the ACEO has plenty of depth and detail to it. If you listen carefully you might even hear the tinkling of the spring water as it trickles down the mountain!

Now I just have to find out to whom I am to send it!
